Grads we're saluting from the class of 2025
Attending: A community college in Georgia
Major: Psychology, with plans to become a therapist for children and teens.
Because Kaelyn graduated high school at 16, she plans to work over the summer. After community college next year she wants to attend a HBCU, possibly Clark Atlanta, if she receives enough scholarship dollars. If she does not she will return to Kalamazoo and attend Western Michigan University where she has a 4 year all paid ride for college. Kaelyn received an honor cord during graduation for maintaining a GPA above a 3.3. As a result of her hard work and commitment to school affording her the opportunity to graduate early in three years while balancing varsity Lacrosse.
During her last year of school she took three AP classes while navigating the challenges of being an early graduate. Proud granddaughter of Thelma (Darryl) Brown

Quennel William Cooper Jr.
Graduated: Park High School in College Grove, Minnesota
Attending: Inver Hills Community College in Inver Grove Heights, Minnesota
Major: Forensic Psychology
Quennel says: "As an incoming freshman at Inver Hills Community College majoring in Forensic Psychology, my future plans are centered around building a strong academic foundation in psychology, criminal justice, and behavioral science. I’m passionate about understanding the minds and motives behind human behavior, especially as it relates to the legal and justice systems.
My short-term goal is to excel in my coursework and take full advantage of campus resources, such as academic advising (study groups), student support services ( like place of worship bible studies and BIPOC - Black, Indigenous, and People of Color), and forensic-focused learning opportunities. I also plan to get involved in student organizations related to psychology or criminal justice to connect with like-minded peers and gain leadership experience.
After completing my associate degree, I intend to transfer to a four-year university to earn a bachelor’s degree in Forensic Psychology. Ultimately, I aspire to work in a field where psychology and law intersect—such as criminal profiling, victim advocacy, or forensic assessment. I’m also open to pursuing graduate studies to deepen my expertise and expand my impact.
Overall, my journey at Inver Hills is just the beginning of a lifelong commitment to learning, justice, and mental health advocacy."
